Original condition vintage cast iron Pittsburgh PA Taximeter circa 1940s with original paint; the paint is flaking as shown. "Allied Taximeter Company 3/2/1942" sticker intact. Fantastic piece of American Taxi history, with working flag lever, switches meter between "Not Hired" / Tariff 1 at .25 cents / "Time not Recording". Excellent piece for your collection as it is, or perfect for restoration. Measures approx. 9 1/4" long, 6 1/2" wide and 4" deep. Weight: 15 lbs
