Fair condition with a split spine as shown. Copyright 1880 Porter and Coates. Great history of ownership written inside the first few pages! The name A. G. Ruliffson in NYC at this time period seemingly indicate the first owner was the Reverend Albert Gleason Ruliffson's wife, founders of the Bowery Mission in Manhattan.
The Contents page has 1958-1880=*78 written in ink. Otherwise the many illustrations and pages are in good condition.
First blank page is inscribed:
"Miss Isabel London
Gift of her Friend
Mrs. A. G. Ruliffson
New York 105 E. 17th St.
May 31, 1888
To be loaned to children especially to those who are sick, or confined to their homes by lameness, or in any other way."
The 3rd blank page:
